The 37,000-acre property is home to hundreds of resident elk, Black Angus cows and herds of horses. Nightly rates include daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as beverages with meals.


Activities


Visiting Paws Up will be the most classically American winters you’ll ever have. Why? Because snow-capped bucket list experiences will become a reality. In your wildest dreams, did you ever think you’d glide across the snow in a winter wonderland pulled by a team of Alaskan Huskies? Dogsledding excursions are available for ages 3+; a thrill ride of a lifetime through some of Montana’s most beautiful countryside.


From huskies to horses, The Resort at Paws Up has an impressive and expansive equestrian program featuring a wide selection of excursions. Choose between arena lessons, private and group trail rides, cow croquet, sleigh rides, and more. Pony rides are complimentary for young kids.


The magic of Montana can also be enjoyed at Paws Up’s latest creation: Blast Mountain. Consider it the festive epicenter of snow-and-ice winter activities, including ice skating and tubing. After a few runs or loops around the rink, head to the clubhouse to sip on hot chocolate... or wine.


Additional winter activities include snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, Fat Tire electric bike tours, skijoring, sledding, and curling. And to really get a feel for the Old West, indulge in a shooting lesson learning to respect and master a .22 rifle.


If you crave some adult-only adventure time, check the kids into The Paws Up Discovery Club offering sessions for children of all ages. Professionally led programs will provide your kids with endless entertainment; activities like sledding, tubing, shooting, crafts, cookie decorating and laser tag.


Dining


Home on the range never tasted so good. The executive chef at Paws Up creates refined rustic ranch cuisine featuring the freshest meats, produce and ingredients. Pomp is the Resort’s gourmet restaurant, which offers continental cuisine with a western kick. There’s also another eatery, Tank & Trough, which is the perfect place to unwind after an action-packed day. With a more casual menu, you’ll feel comfy and cozy overlooking breathtaking views. Room service is available for family-infused pajama parties, and you can even become a Certified S’moreologist through the Paws Up official culinary s’mores program.


Whether at the inviting fireplace in Tank or around an outdoor fireplace, learn the delicious tricks of the trade, attaining one of three levels of S’more Certification.
